Education
In 1983,Zhao graduated from Chemistry Department(now the School of Chemical and Molecular Engineer ), PKU with a B.Sc degree. His bachelor thesis focused on surface structure of catalyst.
In 1986, he got a M.Sc degree in Chemistry Department ,PKU .His thesis entitled "The Crystal Structure of 18-Crown-6 complexes of hydrated lithium chloride and bromide " was published (cooperate with his supervisor Dr.Tsing-Lien Zhang,Academician of Academia Sinica and other two scientists from Academia Sinica )in Revue de Chimie Minerale and evaluated as fine contribution by the editor.
Professional Background
From 1986-1988,T.A,School of Pharmaceutical Sciences ,Beijing Medical University(now HSC,PKU).
From 1988-now ,Assistant Professor ,School of Pharmaceutical Sciences ,PKU.
Zhao had lectured on Basic Chemistry,Basic Chemistry Lab, Infared Spectra of Coordination Compounds and Quantitative Analytical Chemistry. He also had been a group leader of research on oral preparation for treatment of iron deficiency anemia.
Teaching
Now he lecture on Selective topics of research methodology for nanopharmacy.
Research Interests
“My research interest is in biological surface and interface chemistry. Applying carbon nanomaterials such as carbon nanohorn, graphene and carbon nanotube sponge with modern instruments,we try to elucidate how nanomolecules recognize to and react with molecules on biological surfaces and inerfaces. The research will be helpful for drug design and pharmacology research.”
Honor and Awards
Permanet Member of Chinese Chemical Society,Royal Society of Chemistry/Chinese Chemical Society Joint Member,Member of Beijing Trace Element Society.
Representative Publications
Cooperated with many scientists,Zhao has published some papers and reviews .
